Firewalk with MP Charlotte Nichols

We invited Charlotte Nichols to join our firewalk as we had developed a good relationship with her, and she had asked us to contact her if she could be of any assistance. Charlotte replied to say that she would be in a community meeting that evening but would love to come along.  

She would come over ASAP after her meeting. Charlotte came to join the event just in the nick of time to complete the glass walk and the Fire Walk itself. We were delighted that Charlotte joined us and are truly grateful to her for supporting Creating Adventures. 

This fiery fundraiser was held at Monks Sport and Social Club and attended by volunteers and family members. 

Roz from Beech Web Services also took part. As a trustee and charity partner for Creating Adventures, we loved watching her brave the hot coals and Lego! 

When asking Ms Nichols about her experience, she said: “What a night with Creating Adventures at Monks Sport & Social Club at their firewalking fundraiser! They do incredible work supporting adults with autism and learning difficulties in our community, and on their wishlist is a minibus and also a place of their own – well worth walking across Lego, broken glass and hot coals to help them get closer towards their goals!” 

Jenny Allcock, our founder at Creating Adventures said “ The Creating Adventures Fire Walk was a huge success. The atmosphere was electric! We had eighteen fire walkers, of which Charlotte was part and we are truly thankful to her for joining the event. The whole night was wonderful and the fire walkers did us proud. They braved a LEGO walk, a broken glass walk, an arrow break and finally the fire walk. It was truly a magical evening with £3,000 raised to support the work of Creating Adventures, supporting adults with autism and learning disabilities. 

We love our community of members and families and this event was not only a fundraising event but also brought our families together too. Charlotte was a great sport, especially after a long day attending other events but we really do appreciate her support”.
