Creating Adventures. We don’t see the disability.
We see the adventures we can have together.
Learning disabilities and Autism.
They’re not things we talk about as a society. We don’t have conversations about how these conditions affect people’s lives. We never consider the fact that changes need to be made so that people with additional needs feel valued, motivated and excited about life.
In reality many are faced with long days and limited social interaction making them feel alone and disengaged.
At Creating Adventures we recognized this as an opportunity to make an impact in their lives.
Our activities showcase our mission statement in providing accessible activities and experiences for adults with Autism and additional needs to improve their physical and mental wellbeing and offer the adults a sense of personal fulfillment and achievements.
We also involve our adults in consultation to achieve activities and experiences that they would ‘love’ to participate in. Our aim is to provide them with new exciting opportunities which either act as a form of therapy or create a new hobby for their future.
Our Sports & Wellbeing Festival has become an annual event after its success in 2019 in collaboration with Warrington Wolves Foundation.
Our Art Club is one of our weekly timetabled activities led by Naz Sheikh. It is a lovely club with a relaxed, happy vibe.
The choir highlights the amazing talents our members have and the joy their singing brings to themselves and others.
Zumba is a dance fitness class which is fun, energetic and makes you feel amazing! We are currently running two classes per week.
Our adventures won’t be complete without a Christmas party to round off the year! Christmas is special for all ages.
This is a new project for 2021 in partnership with Fresh Beginnings CIC and Chocolate Gems. Funded by the Postcode Community Trust.
A new project which we have part-funding towards from St James’s Place Charitable Foundation.
