Bang On Drumming

The idea for the drumming group came about when a volunteer showed a video of the Freeplayer Drum Core in Canada to Jenny and then it became part of the vision to add a performance drum group to our creative programme. With project funding coming from multiple trusts and foundations, we started Bang On. The members love this session, learning drumming techniques and skills from our leader Andy Makin, Freelance drum teacher.

Each week they learn new skills and listen to each other which is a huge part of the skills learned in drumming. Drumming is also a great outlet for many of our members to support their mental wellbeing. The aim is to perform at local events using a variety of drums.
