Meet the Members

Hi, I’m Carl and I’m the Yoga Rep. I take part in several activities during the week with Creating Adventures and enjoy them all. I meet my friends there and learn something new every day. I love performing in the brass band and choir and helping friends and our teacher Clare.

Michelle, – Thursday cookery rep I love my weekly cookery sessions, we always make lovely meals that I can make at home. The sessions are always fun and I have made some good friends, who I go to other activity with.

Hi, I’m Steph and I’m the Thursday Cookery Rep. I love coming each week and helping set up the room ready for the cookery group. We make yummy food, which I sometimes make for my mum for tea. I enjoy being with my friends and we all help each other.

Hi, I’m Gemma and I’m the Dance Rep for Ignite. I love the weekly dance sessions with Leanne, and we are now working towards our summer showcase. I also attend choir with Jacky. Both groups are lots of fun, and I enjoy making new friends.

Hi, I’m Ian and I’m fairly new to Creating Adventures. My favourite activity I attend is dance and musical theatre, I also take part in, choir, cookery and yoga. I meet my friends at the activities and we enjoy being together.

Hi, I’m Elaine and I’m a Bang On Rep. I am new to Creating Adventures and attend yoga and Bang On drumming, which I love. Andy is a great teacher and I’ve learned a lot. I really enjoyed performing at the Christmas showcase and felt proud to become a rep.

Hi, I’m Lesley and I’m the Bang On Drumming Rep. I love coming to Creating Adventures and spending time with my friends. I play in the brass band and sing in the Beautiful Noise choir. I attend Bang On every Friday and enjoy helping members and Andy, the drum teacher.

Hi, I’m Sam and I’m a Performance Rep. I’m new to the role, but I enjoy helping at events with set-up, moving props, and supporting members to be where they need to be. I really enjoy helping people and being part of the shows.

Hi, I am Ian and I am a New Member Welcoming Rep. I enjoy helping new people feel comfortable at activities and events, making sure they are okay and introducing them to others. I also volunteer weekly with the Warrington Wolves and work at the WDP café.

Ever since I joined Creating Adventures and their Beautiful Noise choir, I have enjoyed going to choir practice on a Wednesday and making friends. I love being a Beautiful Noise choir Rep, it means I am able to help make decisions and bring new ideas to the group.

Hi, my name is Adam. I am 31 years old and love playing games on my play station. I really enjoy coming to choir where I can see all my friends and we all sing together. It makes me feel happy. I also love the cookery group where we have lots of fun and learn to cook with Kerry and the team. Thank you, Creating Adventures.

Nice to be included in ideas. Really nice position to have and to be with friends.

I love music like rap, and I love rock.

Cooking is food and I enjoy the inclusivity of different groups, it’s nice.

Martin is non-verbal. However, his mum Pam says that he loves being a Rep because it makes him feel important and means that he is with his friends.

I love being Events Rep because I love to talk to people and help people where I can. Being a Rep means that I get to greet guests at Creating Adventures events and make them feel welcome.

I am Art Rep. It is a great responsibility to help others and to tell Liz and Jo what I like to make. I love LEGO and trains too.

I’m Frankie, I’m 23 years old. I have two working Cocker spaniels called Mocha and Guinness who are beautiful. I like swimming and math’s, and I enjoy bowling in my spare time. I really enjoy doing art including diamond art, coloring and painting by numbers which is why I love being the Creative Crew Rep. It gets me engaged with my friends and means that I can look out for others and get my confidence back.

I love Creating Adventures, I don’t know what I would do without it. I’m a Choir Rep because I love to sing and be with my friends.

The Steering group committee voted Lewis as the new chef’s cookery rep at our meeting on 25th September 2024.

My name is Ann and I am 46 years old.

I enjoy being a rep because I enjoy working with my friends. I sign the register, communicate with my friends at cookery about the cookery sessions. I ask them if they enjoyed the cookery session and the food they made. That’s what I like being involved in.

My hobbies are gardening and going to bingo with my mum on Mondays.

Hi my name is Alex, my friends at Created Adventures voted me as their Brass Band rep at their Steering group committee meeting on the 25th September 2024.

We announced his new role after brass on Wednesday 2nd October. Alex was delighted.
Alex plays the drums in our Brass band (Bold as Brass). Alex is a brilliant drummer. He has recently started playing the Bongo drums during our choir sessions (Beautiful Noise) which sounds amazing.

As Alex says, “music is my life”, I started drumming lessons when I was 8 years old and never looked back. He loves going to concerts and local gigs and has a great appreciation of many genres of music. He has performed with several musicians and bands at events over the years and would love to do much more.

Hi my name is Bex. I like doing recipes, newsletters and other media work for Creating Adventures. I like interviewing members to create testimonials and promotional material. I love doing my Rep job, it gives me focus and something to work on at home to keep me occupied.

Being a choir rep helped me to raise my confidence levels and it helped me to communicate with friends, Jackie and the other reps. It’s about telling myself that there’s nothing about what you have to live with your disability. Your disability is one thing, and we have to try and climb over that and look past that. I can support the other members when they need me. I love choir. I love singing.

I love being a rep because I can help people, doing the register at dance (signing people in or absent during the session). I enjoy the Steering Group committee meetings. I enjoy making sure everyone is okay.

Hobbies. Liverpool Football Club, I’m a big fan. I look after my nephews Henry and Oliver.

I like Westlife and Boyzone and I like watching The Voice and Hit List.

I love being a Rep because I am passionate about helping and teaching members their skills and love supporting others.

I’m Nai, I’m a Cookery Assistant for Creating Adventures. I like to do diamond art, going for a walk and love animals too.

I always wanted to work with food and be a chef. I like to help others develop their skills and confidence in the kitchen and support them with their life skills. I enjoy working with everyone, they are amazing people and we have a laugh in the sessions. I can help them achieve their future goals and love working with our leader Kerry, she’s the best chef ever. I love to taste new foods too.

My name is Bethan McDermott, I’m 33 years of age. I love Creating Adventures because I’ve been there since 2020, and I enjoy being a Cookery Rep because I help Janine, the Cookery teacher, look at eating healthy, cooking fresh food, making new friends- the best thing is eating together at the end of the day.

I enjoy being a rep because it’s fun and I get to discuss things which we enjoy and things that we can improve on. I just enjoy being involved in the conversations that take place in our Steering Group meetings with Jenny, Sue and Denise and give them ideas for activities and trips.

My hobbies are gaming and watching you tube. I also go on lovely holidays with my mum, dad and family.
