Yoga
Our activity programme is full of energetic creative activities so we like to end the week with a little calm and relaxation with our Friday Yoga group. It’s such a lovely way to finish the week and our Yoga leader Clare from Himos Yoga works with our members and their capabilities to ensure that they enjoy it and get the most out of the session.
Our members have expressed a deeper sense of wellbeing and improved mental health with the introduction of these classes.

‘Our daughter Catherine joined in with the Creating Adventures activities 2 and a half years ago starting with the cookery sessions. She absolutely loves these and has just begun to try cooking at home. She has learnt to work with others in the group which is great, as she can be inclined to be a little solitary. Catherine is hypotonic and her fine motor skills have improved with practise in chopping etc, and her general adroitness has increased. She has gained confidence in her ability to produce something beyond tinned soup and toast! More recently Catherine joined the choir (after a lot of persuasion) and is really enjoying that too. Again, she is becoming part of a group of peers, and this has increased her confidence too. As her parents, we enjoy watching her become more independent and form relationships outside the family circle.’
