50+ Wellbeing Club
Our Over 50’s Wellness Club only launched on 5th April 2024 with thanks to funding from the Cheshire Community Foundation to help us reach adults aged 50+ with a learning disability or autism to ensure that they are not facing isolation or loneliness and instead be surrounded by new friends and new hobbies and interests.Â
This club will include yoga, arts and crafts, dance, lunch and bingo and an all things social club. Each week we will also be serving tea, coffee and cake to give everyone the chance for a chat with friends.
Friday 1pm - 3pm
Testimonials
‘Our daughter Catherine joined in with the Creating Adventures activities 2 and a half years ago starting with the cookery sessions. She absolutely loves these and has just begun to try cooking at home. She has learnt to work with others in the group which is great, as she can be inclined to be a little solitary. Catherine is hypotonic and her fine motor skills have improved with practise in chopping etc, and her general adroitness has increased. She has gained confidence in her ability to produce something beyond tinned soup and toast! More recently Catherine joined the choir (after a lot of persuasion) and is really enjoying that too. Again, she is becoming part of a group of peers, and this has increased her confidence too. As her parents, we enjoy watching her become more independent and form relationships outside the family circle.’
