Our activities showcase our mission statement in providing accessible activities and experiences for adults with Autism and additional needs to improve their physical and mental wellbeing and offer the adults a sense of personal fulfilment and achievement.
We also involve our adults in consultation to achieve activities and experiences that they would ‘love’ to participate in. Our aim is to provide them with new exciting opportunities which either act as a form of therapy or create a new hobby for their future.
Sports & Wellbeing Festival
Our Sports & Wellbeing Festival on Wednesday 8th May 2019 was a huge success with 87 adults with autism and additional needs joining us with 38 carers.
With the support of Warrington Wolves Foundation we delivered taster sessions of rugby, football, tennis, Boccia, Wheelchair sports and athletics. We also held Zumba and yoga classes to encourage the adults to ‘try something new’ which were well attended and the Zumba has been requested since the festival as an ongoing activity.
This event is definitely one to be repeated next year!
We would like to thank Sellafield Ltd, Tesco Bags for Help, Co-op Local Causes Fund, StrongGuard Security UK, Jaspers Catering, Moto in the Community, ASDA Foundation, Matts Ices, MacIntyre and for funding and supporting this project.
Watch the video below to see the magic that happened on the day.
Creating Art for Expression
We have received funding from the Hospital Saturday Fund to continue our Art Club for a further 12 months following our success of the club previously funded by the Cheshire Community Foundation.
The adults are creating pieces worthy of an exhibition, in fact some work is being exhibited at the Orford Jubillee Hub Library in Warrington.
This is an exciting project for us and will help tackle isolation and loneliness within this group in society. The adults will also collaboratively create a piece to display in the community.
Music & Songwriting
We are passionate about creating opportunities for our adults to explore music and create their own songs. Music is a source of therapy for many people and can ease anxieties and stresses in our hectic lives.
For people with communication difficulties, music can play a huge part in helping them to express their needs and frustrations. It can also be used a coping mechanism in times when anxiety can lead to further health problems.
Our recent Music & Songwriting Project in Trafford which was funded by the Big Lottery Fund was a huge success engaging adults with a variety of additional needs to create their own song.
50 adults joined our project and left with a copy of their own song. This song was also uploaded to Soundcloud for them to share with friends and family to showcase their achievements.
'Beautiful Noise' Rock & Pop Choir
Our ‘Beautiful Noise’ Choir meet every Wednesday 3 – 4.30pm at the Old School, Fairfield St, Warrington. Our choir is led by Choirmaster Marc Jenyon.
The adults sing everything from Pink to the Beatles but it’s all about having fun and meeting new people. The choir is for adults of all ages with autism and/or a learning disability.
For more information or to join the choir, please call Jenny on 01925 594460.
With huge thanks to the Steve Morgan Foundation, the W O Street Charitable Foundation and Torus Housing for supporting this project.
Zumba 'n Chill
Following the huge success of our Zumba classes at our Sports & Wellbeing Festival we are planning a weekly Zumba n Chill club in Warrington.
Zumba is a fun, energetic way to exercise whilst also allowing everyone to get involved at their own pace. This is an inclusive activity encouraging anyone who likes to dance to join in and improve their physical and mental health. We are combining this activity with time afterwards for refreshments and a chat.

Our Christmas Party in Warrington on 11th December at the Village Hotel was a huge success. We had 38 adults and 25 carers join us for a day of festive fun!
There was snow, elves, presents, festive food, a DJ and lots of smiles.
If you can help us make this bigger and better in 2020, please get in touch to find out more.
