The Office for National Statistics is reporting that 8 in 10 people with a disability are worrying about the effect of lockdown on their quality of life and they are saying that its affecting their wellbeing as they have too much time on their hands.
Creating Adventures also surveyed its member base and found that members are missing friends and wider family and find weekends particularly lonely.
So, in response the Creating Adventures team has created a Friday Night Social that adults with additional needs can tune into from 7pm. The event is called “Friday Live” and will be 2 hours of chat, music, fun quizzes, demonstrations and more, all delivered over zoom by the team and their special guests.
As Jenny Allcock says, “ there’s always something we can do or we can create to excel and to entertain in these challenging times. We have a member base of performers and singers and we have people ready to get involved. We’d love more if people want to help?”
